Pepenbury
Pepenbury's ‘Village Community’ site at Pembury provides all round care for adults with learning difficulties who are unable to live independently. In addition to accommodation they offer high levels of support as well as day service activities that range from computers to horticulture and woodwork to animal care. Pepenbury has always prided itself in offering a stimulating and sometimes challenging life for its residents. The volunteers that we have sent there in the past have all found it an exciting experience. There are many opportunities for volunteers to help this organisation. Pepenbury offers traveling expenses and refreshment to volunteers Opportunities include: Helping to organise an annual golf day, assisting with marketing, advising on new building work - these are some of the ongoing projects that also need the support of office workers for administrative duties. Are you interested? Gardening and horticultural opportunities exist for enthusiastic, ‘green fingered’ people to help create an organic garden. They would help, work with and train young people with disabilities. Sowing seed, fencing and erecting greenhouses are some of the many tasks involved. Visit the Pepenbury website |
