If you are thinking about volunteering.........
The Snodland Outreach Volunteer Centre will operate every first and third Wednesday morning between 10.30 and 12.30 in the Public Library in the town. This is an opportunity for anyone thinking about volunteering to come along to an informal meeting point to discuss volunteering opportunities with one of the volunteer centre managers. This will be a chance to explore volunteer roles in local community and voluntary organisations. Potential volunteers will be able to arrange more formal private interviews as required. This is all a free service.
Please note that this is a permanent change of venue from the original location at the Wolfe Centre.
We promote volunteering by publicising voluntary opportunities on the "do-it" website and in our Snodland ‘Directory of Opportunities’ booklet. Access our Directory by clicking here, or through the Opportunities link on the left.
If you are an organisation looking for volunteers........
The primary role of a volunteer centre is promoting and supporting volunteering and providing a brokerage service recruiting volunteers for voluntary and community organisations. Each year the Tonbridge centre deals with several hundred enquiries from people wanting to offer their time and skills as a volunteer, and actively recruits volunteers for more than 100 organisations. Any voluntary or community organisation seeking volunteers in the Snodland area is invited to register with Snodland Volunteers.
If you can't get along to the Library.........
If our meeting times are not convenient for you, please do not hesitate to contact us by phone, email or letter. You could also arrange to come along to our Tonbridge Office.
